But damn....Jabbar was hardly breaking a sweat for his baskets...so effortless. Hakeem (my favourite player ever) learned well from these early career schoolings by the Skyhook master.

Don't be shocked ppl that the corrupted NBA usually aims for game 7's in great series; more MULLAH!!! game 7's are rigged, if u notice refs really don't have bad calls really in game 7's, for example u can see in this vid. that both teams show 30 FT's and to bad kings shot 53% to lakers 80. True winners win in game 7's and LAKers have been top dogs 16 times. so BIG ROFL at QUEENS!!

Most NBA players heights are taken with their shoes on. Yao Ming is listed at 7'6", but is likely 7'5". In fact, Shawn Bradley, who is 7'6", told an interviewer "If Yao is 7'6, then I'm 7'7". It's not a big difference(1"-1.5") in most cases, but some players are listed 2" taller than they actually are.

By: LakersDynasty42. on 13 Jul 09, 04:13:43 Kobe won't need to get 30 ppg with this team and it would actually benefit the team even more if he scored 22-25 ppg and took over when he needed to. He can ball hawk again and go for steals and take gambles. he will be well rested..so will bynum..who has a lot to re-prove again. Now that we have Artest (who calls out teammates if they don't play D) imagine how great they'll be. I'm viewing this upcoming season like I viewed last season. I don't care about the offense because I know if the Lakers are focused defensively they'll win it all.

By: mikenotnumber1. on 13 Jul 09, 03:47:06 sorry lakers..some guy in another thread is telling me that the spurs have won with marginal talent and "ALL" they had was duncan and manu and parker? HAHA dude I am laughing my ass off! what other teams boast three 20 ppg scorers or the ability of them too when not injured? he said drob was no good..LOL
Jordan and team was reason vs pistons..he played right into their hands. vs orlando though..Jordan killed the bulls.
That means he asked ... By: LakersDynasty42. on 13 Jul 09, 03:43:51 That means he asked Kobe to do more than Michael as far as facilitating. Scottie was the one who ran that offense anyway and the Bulls did have their championship team but they didn't have enough experience and mental toughness to get past the Pistons. Scottie wasn't good enough for the Bulls to win back then. You're acting like Jordan was the reason that they lost against the Pistons all those years. Give Detroit credit, they were a better team back then.
no..he was holding ... By: mikenotnumber1. on 13 Jul 09, 03:32:10 no..he was holding the rock..doug collins all but got fired because they could not advance and he called out Jordan for not giving up the rock trying to make all the great plays..like that era's magic johnson..who was also the mvp that year..pippen was doing just fine in the 1989 season. The bulls had their title team in place..but they lost. Kobe is better at being a facilitator of the offense. Phil explicitly states this even back in 2007. "Kobe does more than I ever asked of Michael."
You made it sound ... By: LakersDynasty42. on 13 Jul 09, 03:28:46 You made it sound like the only reason MJ was getting triple-doubles is because he was a ballhog. MJ didn't alienate the team in the playoffs, he had to score a lot for them to be successful. Who else on the Bulls was going to help him with the scoring load? Pippen wasn't mentally tough enough back then and they didn't have a lot of offensive options. "Kobe is better at doing that". Better at doing what?
why would triple ... By: mikenotnumber1. on 13 Jul 09, 03:23:29 why would triple doubles mean you are a ball hog? HAHAHA sorry man..not trying to laugh..but that made no sense..LOL doesn't triple doubles make you a player sharing the ball? and Magic was winning..in the playoffs..MJ tried to be a pg..but up some great numbers..but alienated the team and they were not as successful..did not look good. Kobe is better at doing that..done it longer. Magic was a natural..jordan was not. watch 1987 ASG..:)

He lets the radio and t.v. audience enjoy the moment. Now every announcer wants to run their mouth on and on. Chick was simply brilliant!

BTW, did you see Arsenio Hall's expression at 1:36? And what's up with the clothes? I don't miss the 80s...

I so? remember this ... By: uscrules81. on 09 Jun 10, 19:34:25 I so? remember this game. It was June 14th, the day after my wedding. That morning we were going down the elevator at the Airport Marriott to catch flight to Hawaii. Robert Parrish stepped into the elevator. I commented to him, that I thought he was a great player, but the Lakers would beat them today. He smiled. Fortunately, our flight was delayed and I got to watch the Lakers win the title in the airport bar.
@AllAmerican1964 ... By: veramann. on 30 May 10, 20:07:53 @AllAmerican1964 The Lakers are a better team now, especially when they have Ron Artest to slow down Paul Pierce. The Lakers are better because Gasol has improved and Garnett is older. Plus, they're going to put Kobe on Rondo to stop him. So the Lakers have the solution to beat the Celtics. The Lakers will also use the the lost in 2008 to motivate themself; the Lakers are too talent and they're more talent than the Cavs and the Magic.

There was some bad transition defence by Hakeem in this game, at his age there`s no excuse to be being beaten down the floor in transition by a 37 yr. old Jabbar. But damn....Jabbar was hardly breaking a sweat for his baskets...so effortless. Hakeem (my favourite player ever) learned well from these early career schoolings by the Skyhook master.
