You could most probably buy VCS3 kits but Eno would have gone for the more solid and reliable factory-made version. Pink Floyd used 'em too on Dark Side (esp. On the Run) amazing things they are too.

I can't believe how blown up and amazing Eno made this song. Everyone on this was top notch... but the layering of sonic wash he was creating, just bringing Manzanara's guitar stuff to a more accentuating place. and the processed sounds of Andy McKay is way way way coool. I'm gonna watch it again.
